There are beautiful women all over the world. However, we were interested in seeing what Africa considers beautiful and how it compares to American standards of beauty. The first thing we noticed about the article from Answers Africa is the love, honor and uplifting of the African woman. She is seen as beautiful, not only for her outside attractiveness but also her brain power. We can only wonder if African American men, uplifted and loved on the African American woman with this much zeal if the state of what’s considered “beautiful” in our community could be impacted.

Africa indeed has some of the most beautiful women in the world today, women with an outstanding kind of beauty. When we talk about beauty, we are referring to both inside traits and outside looks and an African woman has it all. All around the world, African women have always stood out among other women. They are intelligent with very strong and good characters, and they have beautiful body structures and facial beauty to crown it all. The whole world stand in awe at the appearance of African women, especially when the looks are matched up with brains. However as much as this cuts across the whole of Africa, there are still some specific African countries whose women stand out as the most beautiful. Lets have a look at some of the countries and the popular citizens that represen them which in most cases are not even winners of beauy pageants but respected citizens and members of the society.

ETHIOPIA ~ Gete Berhe
Beauty Model Gete Berhe’s natural beauty can be traced to Ehiopia. She represented Ethiopia in her modeling works.
KENYA ~ Lupita Nyong’o
She was born in Mexico to Kenyan parents, Dorothy and Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o. Though she was born in Mexico, she was raised in Kenya, and she had her college eduction in the United States, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Film and Theater studies from Hampshire College. She later on obtained a master’s degree in acting from the Yale School of Drama in 2012. She is also the first Kenyan and Mexican actress to win an award. In 2014, People Magazine named her “The Most Beautiful Woman”.
ERITREA ~ Sabrina Aman
Eritrean-American Actress born in Virgina to Eritrean parents.
CONGO ~ Joelle Kayembe
Joelle was born in Lubumbashi Congo. When she was just 11 years old, her family migrated to South Africa following the violence in Congo at the time. Joelle is a model, one of the highest paid black South African models.
NIGERIA ~ Adaora Akubilo
This fascinating lady, Adaora Akubilo is a Nigerian, born in Windsor, Connecticut, USA. She is a model.
ZIMBABWE ~ Thandie Newton
Thandie is a good representation fo the beauty of Zimbabwean women. She is mixed race, with a Zimbabwean mother and a British father. The political unrest in Zimbabwe caused her family to migrate to the UK.
SOUTH AFRICAN ~ Nonhle Thema
South Africa is blessed with many beautiful women; a country that holds the current Miss World title and has won the Continental Queen of Beauty of Africa consecutively from 1991 – 1999, then 2009, 2011, 2014 and has produced Miss World 3 times (first in 1958 – from the Union of South Africa). South African is represented on this list by the country’s prominent media/TV personality Nonhle Thema, a true South African beauty. It looks like beauty runs in her family because her mother was once a beauty queen (Miss South Africa 1972).
Sierra Leone ~ Isha Sesay
Isha Sesay was born in France in the year 1975 but is of Sierra Leonean descent. She works as a British Journalist with CNN. Isha represents the beautiful women of Sierra Leone with a charming smile.
CAPE VERDE ~ Cristy Spencer
Cristy is a beauty pageant title holder from Cape Verde. She was Miss ECOWAS 2013, Miss Cape Verde 2013, and she represented Cape Verde for Miss World 2014.
