LORDT! $188 Million Powerball Winner, Marie Holmes being sued by pastor?

Marie Holmes, North Carolina’s $188 million Powerball lottery winner is back in the news again.

This time Holmes is not spending $21 million on bailing her boyfriend, Lamarr McDow, out-of-jail for the fourth time or harassing and threatening his side chick, but a pastor is allegedly suing her for $10 million for reneging on a verbal contract.

The 27-year-old mother of two took home a $127 million lump sum payment following her lottery win in February, 2015.

Pastor Kevin Matthews says he is experiencing emotional and mental distress due to her backing down from a verbal contract they had regarding $1.5 million to purchase land to build a retreat facility.

“Because of the emotional distress and mental stress, they put me through, I had to start taking more medicine for anxiety and depression due to this situation,” says Pastor Kevin Matthews.

Holmes’ attorney, Ruth Sheehan, of The Francis Law Firm, said she was not aware of the situation or the lawsuit.

In a recent interview with EURweb, Pastor Matthews says: “God led him to her house and he prayed with her.”

He later met Holmes and ministered to her on several occasions at her new home. He also said he ministered to three other people at her home, and then he eventually asked her to consider giving him money to purchase land to build a retreat. He gave her three different amounts that he needed ($1 million, $1.5 million and $2 million). After several meetings, she agreed to give him $1.5 million to help purchase land to build a retreat center that he says he had been praying about for years.

This is totally and utterly ridiculous and coming from a Pastor!!!!! If this was an agreement they made he should have gotten it in writing, verbal my behind… Anytime someone wins a large sum of money, people & crooks come out of the woodwork. As for praying with her and her family, that's what he's supposed to do, he's a minister, but he's acting like a Thug!!!! Greed will truly make the devil come out of anybody. What ever happened to the church building fund, why don't they have money vested in that? Even if he did ask her for a contribution, why is he asking her to pay for the whole thing, again they should have money in the church's building fund or have an church account set up at the bank, most churches do, unless the pastor is pocketing the money. I would not give him anything until I consulted with a financial advisor or lawyer!!!!! Talk about emotional distress and mental stress, yeah right. You needs to see a doctor, No, he needs to have a little talk with JESUS!!!!!! He'll make everything alright…..

Why is everyone talking so mean about the loving Pastor Kevin Matthews? He is a man of God. He didn't asked her to help rebuild the church, expand the parking lot, or anything like that. He only asked for $1.5 million to purchase land to build a retreat facility. Shouldn't every pastor have a retreat facility (aka new home) for his church. Keep in mind he did pray for her and her family. ( That was a 1.5 million dollar prayer ). And let's not forget the fact that he only went to her because God led him to her. He didn't asked for money to buy a jet to go alone with the retreat facility. I notice no where is listed the name of Pastor Kevin Matthews church name. Therefore I'm guessing he is not the pastor of any church at all and maybe just gave his self the title of pastor. This just gones to show what type of people a winning lotto ticket will attract. Keeping it real , Kevin Matthews need his butt kick! It should be a law against running this kind of con.

If he were a real pastor he would know that a man's riches are in Heaven, not here on earth.
