Youth Resources

If the children really are our future, then we’re in trouble…

Because WE are failing them!

It’s one thing to say, “these kids today are a mess, that’s why I don’t deal with em!” and another to say, “these kids today are a mess, what can I do to help them?”

Every one of the organizations in this area of CulSire.com has vowed to help our youth be successful in their lives. We cannot let the streets, the education system, the criminal system or the music industry keep stealing our youth’s futures.  Not when there are people who are willing to work with, grow, teach, and help our youth to be better for tomorrow!

There are many organizations out there, and you’ll have to do your own research to determine the right one for you. One organization that’s creating a stir in the teen/young adult movement is the Black Youth Project (www.blackyouthproject.com). BYP is based on three basic concepts: knowledge, voice, and action. Through their work they are connecting and pledging with other youth nationally to fight against inequality and injustice and to take action to ensure a promising future for black youth.

WE have to start putting in the time, energy and work if we are to save our youth and our future!

“Now is the accepted time, not tomorrow, not some more convenient season. It is today that our best work can be done and not some future day or future year. It is today that we fit ourselves for the greater usefulness of tomorrow. Today is the seed time, now are the hours of work, and tomorrow comes the harvest and the playtime.” ~ W.E.B Du Bois
